Hey everyone, I’m planning a trip to Amritsar and considering buying a real (sharp) sword. Not for display — just a genuine purchase. I wanted to ask: Is it legal to carry a real sword while traveling by train in India? Would I need any kind of license or prior permission? Has anyone here actually tried transporting one on Indian Railways? What was your experience? Is there any safe/legal way to bring it back, or should I just courier it? I don’t want to get into trouble at the station or during checks, so any real experiences or advice would really help.

Ordered something from Nykaa on 21 March, and it was supposed to be delivered on 23 March. Instead, I kept getting repeated messages saying delivery was delayed and would happen the next day. This went on for multiple days. I think shadowfax people lost it as it as for 5 days there is not a single update on the courier so I called Nykaaa I told them to just cancel it, because at that point there was no confidence it was actually coming.
