I have a hobby, i collect diecast cars 1:64 scale. Recently i had ordered it from a seller (Miniature toy store) . They sent it through DTDC courier. 31 of January the package was booked and later next day it was picked up The package had to come from Ranchi to Kolar(Where I live) . On 2nd of February it arrived to Bangalore as it's like 70kms from my town. It stayed there till 4th February. I raised a ticket and asked the DTDC courier to ship it to me as soon as possible. A few days ago I received a message from DTDC saying my order will be delivered- I had no idea what this was because I wasn’t expecting anything, I also asked people around me nobody had sent anything. I didn’t click any link on the message but searched through the official tracking link on their website- the parcel was coming from Mumbai but it had no sender’s name. The next day I called DTDC to get more information. They said they had no details of the sender but informed it was some documents and reiterated that it was from Mumbai. It has some courier tracking number and a link. Is it some new type of scam even though on DTDC website the tracking number shows order was in different city in my state.

The message that came.on delivery mentioned someone's name and we do t know that person.. I am.not sure how they gave it to them when it clearly mentioned my name on the parcel.. Will DTDC even try to retrieve it from whoever they gave it to? Not sure as I am an NRI and haven't seen how things work for a while..
