Speed post delayed

9h ago

I posted a parcel via india Post (speed post) from WB to Maharashtra on 8th may, and it is apparently still at Kolkata PH. I have been using speed posts for 3 years now. I've never faced this issue. It would be delivered within 5-7 days. The package had really expensive stuff in it, and I am kind of losing my peace over it. I visited the post office today, and they asked me to wait for 2 more days. I still filed an online complaint, which is supposed to be replied to within 3 working days. Did this happen to anyone else? Speed post delay is very new to me. Considering there is no natural disaster that might have delayed the transit, I am really stressed.

Investments return with 5 CR corpus

12h ago

My dad is retiring in November next year, and our family is currently trying to understand what kind of post-retirement income we can realistically expect from our investments. Current assets: 1 flat in Delhi NCR worth approximately ₹3.5 crore 1 land parcel in our hometown currently valued around ₹1.2 crore Another land parcel currently valued around ₹80 lakh We recently got the land assets audited and currently have buyers/offers for both land parcels. Apart from real estate, my dad has approximately ₹5 crore saved across PF, SIP, stocks, and other retirement-related investments. This ₹5 crore is the corpus amount itself, not annual income. Our question is...

Can I sue India Post for misdirecting my Speed Post parcel and claim compensation?

India Post wrongly offloaded my Speed Post parcel at Patna APTMO, sent it via surface instead of air, and misdirected it to Kolkata while tracking falsely showed Hyderabad PH for days. Parcel had important office belongings. Can I sue India Post or claim compensation for negligence, mental harassment, and travel expenses?

Curious what hospitality developers think about this airport-adjacent play in Ahmedabad

12h ago

I came across a hospitality project model recently that made me pause, mostly because airport-linked assets in India seem to be entering an interesting phase. Historically, airport hotels were viewed as convenience products: overnight stays, transit guests, airline crews, etc. But in cities with expanding business ecosystems, they start behaving differently. Ahmedabad is one of those markets I'm watching. You have airport traffic, GIFT City gradually becoming more relevant, increasing business travel, Riverfront-led urban development, and premium demand moving beyond traditional CBD locations. So the question becomes: does airport hospitality eventually become destination hospitality...

How far back should a title search actually go? The time period problem in Indian property verification

17h ago

The exact period varies by bank and sometimes by loan amount. Some state bar councils recommend a minimum of 30 years. **Why these periods might not be enough:** Property disputes in India routinely trace back much further than 30 years: * **Partition disputes**: Joint family property partitions fro...

Our housing society committee banned ALL delivery guys from entering — even from dropping parcels at the gate. Is this...

21h ago

Hey everyone, Long post but please bear with me — this situation is genuinely affecting my daily life and I need some perspective from people who've dealt with similar nonsense. **🏢 The Situation** I live on the 12th floor of a housing society in Pune, Maharashtra. The Managing Committee recently came up with a new rule: • Delivery personnel cannot enter the society gate. • They cannot even leave the parcel at the security gate. • Residents are expected to physically come down to the main gate every single time a parcel arrives. • If the residents are unable to come down or are unavailable at that time, the parcel is returned. • No AGM resolution that I'm awa...

Instagram seller promised refund, then shipped anyway and blocked me.

1d ago

Need guidance regarding Instagram seller refusing refund after confirming it. I ordered jewellery from an Instagram business and faced repeated shipment delays for weeks. After constant follow-ups, the seller agreed to refund the amount, asked for my GPay number, and confirmed the refund would be processed. Later, they suddenly changed their stand, shipped the parcel without my consent, and started claiming “we shipped it so it’s not our fault.” I clearly informed them before delivery that I no longer wanted the product and would refuse delivery. The parcel was rejected and returned. I currently have neither the product nor the refund. I have screenshots of: \- refund confirmation...

I finally tried Desertcart India after all the horror stories

1d ago

I wanted to share my experience with Desertcart India because I found a lot of scary posts online before ordering, and maybe this helps someone in the future. I ordered the PGYTECH MagCam 2 phone grip from Desertcart because I simply couldn’t find it anywhere in India. Before ordering, I spent a lot of time checking the seller, ratings, and whether it was actually being sold by the original brand. In my case, the seller was PGYTECH itself, which gave me some confidence. The product itself was around $60, and with shipping/customs/etc. the final amount came to about $110. Expensive, yes — but still cheaper than some first-party accessories for my phone. The funny part...

Excerpt The Forge and The Crucible by Mircea Eliade (1 Meteorites and Metallurgy, 2 Mythology of the Iron Age)

1d ago

***1*** ***Meteorites and Metallurgy*** It was inevitable that meteorites should inspire awe. **They came from some remote region high up in the heavens and possessed a sacred quality enjoyed only by things celestial.** In certain cultures there was a time when men thought the sky was made of stone, and even today the Australian aborigines believe the vault of heaven to be made of rock crystal and the throne of the heavenly deity of quartz. **Rock crystals, supposedly broken away from the heavenly throne, do in fact play a special role in the shamanic initiation ceremonies of the Australian aborigines, among the Negritos of Malacca, in North America, and elsewhere. These ‘stones of light...

International courier service at India Post

1d ago

Hi everyone, Today I visited India Post, Rohini Sector 7 to courier my International package. there, the guy said - it has been stopped and they are not accepting international parcels/package/documents. Is it true for all the post offices or only in one branch? I need to send a package, abroad. If anyone working in India Post, Can confirm and explain the reasons behind it?

30% of my orders are coming back. I'm shipping more than I'm selling. Someone please tell me this is fixable.

1d ago

Started my fashion brand 8 months ago. Decent margins on paper. Thought I had it figured out. Then the RTOs started piling up. Last month I dispatched 340 orders. 102 came back. That's ₹47,000 in dead shipping costs — paid to send, paid to return, zero revenue. Not counting the inventory handling, repackaging, and the sheer mental exhaustion of watching your growth dashboard go backwards. The worst part? Half of these were COD orders where the customer just... didn't pick up. No missed call, no "please redeliver", nothing. The courier attempts once, marks it undeliverable, and the parcel is on its way back to me before I even knew there was a problem. Nobody told ...

Moving Back to India, Best UK to India Cargo/Parcel Services

1d ago

Hey everyone, I’ll be moving back to India in about a month and need to send a few personal belongings from the UK, mainly clothes, utensils, shoes, and some miscellaneous household stuff. Nothing super expensive or fragile. I’ve been looking into cargo/shipping services and came across CargoForce. Their pricing seems pretty reasonable, but the reviews online are really mixed. Some people say they had a smooth experience, while others mention delays, damaged parcels, or poor customer support. Has anyone here personally used CargoForce for shipping from the UK to India? Would you recommend them? PS- I’d also really appreciate suggestions for any other reliable and reasonably priced...

NIMBUS POST COD CAMS

1d ago

Running an ecommerce business in India feels impossible sometimes. For the past few weeks, we’ve been facing a serious issue with our courier partner. COD amounts from delivered orders are not being credited on time, and on top of that, they’ve suddenly started uploading “weight discrepancy” charges on shipments that were delivered more than 2 months ago. These are old shipments that were already closed and completed. Now random penalties and extra charges are appearing without proper proof, reweighing evidence, or any prior dispute process. What makes it worse: COD remittances are delayed or missing Old shipments are being reopened financially No proper explanation from suppor...
