We had a rough first two months when we first brought in augmented developers based in India. The time zone gap (IST to EST is about 9.5 hours) felt insurmountable at first. But we figured it out. Here's what changed. What wasn't working: \- Async Slack messages piling up with no resolution \- Pull requests sitting for 12+ hours waiting for review \- End-of-day blockers from their side becoming start-of-day emergencies on ours What we changed: 1. Defined a 2-hour mandatory overlap window (9am IST - 11am IST / which is 11:30pm - 1:30am EST). We pushed back our US standup to 9:30am IST start. Not comfortable but manageable. 2.
