I have received a job offer from a startup which has a non-compete clause stating I cannot join a competitor for 12 months post termination of employment. Afaik this clause is not enforceable in India and is practically nothing more than a joke. But I'm wondering if I should accept the offer as it is or tell them to remove this clause or else I will not accept? I am not too desparate or eager to join the startup.
