There's a lot more going on in the Middle East than I realized

11h ago

The information and conclusions below come from a [video titled](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2QJbWEfgLA) "The UAE is Destabilizing the Entire Middle East" posted by War Fronts, a channel I hadn't watched before. - **Video description**: "The UAE’s covert alliances, proxy wars, and quiet coordination with Israel are reshaping the Middle East—triggering backlash, new coalitions, and a dangerous geopolitical realignment few saw coming in 2026 worldwide." - A couple of starting points, according to the podcaster: - - The Emirates have been meddling chronically in regional affairs and whether the nation on the receiving end was Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey...

Best option for getting CADA in India?

11h ago

I've checked ubuy, joy bricks and the official cada website. Anyone here who has tried ordering from these sites to india? Which one seems most reliable? Since customs is absolutely obnoxious here, an estimate of how much of the order % was slapped on? I've seen some positive posts about joy bricks here, but I placed an order 3 weeks ago to test it out and it hasn't been shipped yet, the kind gentleman keep telling me to wait 2 days every time I ask for updates. Any other website recommendations are also appreciated!

I feel so lost

11h ago

‎I was not sure where to post this and found this sub. ‎ ‎ I'm 20F from India and I feel so lost. I'm in my final semester in CS and I'm going for masters in Cybersecurity (decided on logic, also because I'm not confident enough that I'll get any job). my parents were the ones who pushed me for higher studies and I eventually agreed because the placements were so brutal. my faculty advisor did say my resume is decent enough but I have no faith. ‎ ‎for context, I do have a 9 cgpa (3.6 GPA). but that's all I have. I understand coding and stuff but I can't write my own. that's why I wanted a career with minimal coding. and I did get an admission...

11h ago

I moved from the US to India in November, and I’m honestly not handling it as well as everyone around me seems to think I “should.” It's been 4 months since I've moved, and I've tried adapting. I just don't seem to have the discipline I had in the US. "You're the same person, just a difference in surroundings." Sure doesn't feel like it. Back in the US, I had what felt like a pretty clear path and identity. I had close friends, a school environment that fit me, and I was doing well enough in track that I had legit D1 interest/offers. Academically, I was in an ecosystem that made sense to me: teachers I vibed with, English as the medium, and a s...

We are Helping founders fix Pricing, Cash flow & GTM Mistakes Offering Free Audit for a few Startups this month

11h ago

Hey everyone 👋 Long-time lurker here, first time posting. Over the last few months, my team and I have been working closely with **early-stage founders and small businesses** — mostly helping them fix things *that quietly kill businesses*: * Pricing that “felt right” but wasn’t profitable * Cash flow issues even when sales were coming in * GTM strategies copied from Twitter/US playbooks that didn’t work * Businesses running blind without clear unit economics We realized something interesting: Most founders **don’t need more hustle** — they need **clarity**. # What we actually help with (very practically): **For India-based businesses:** * Company registrations &...

How to start video editing in India & build a path into film/movie editing? (Roadmap needed)

11h ago

Hi everyone, I’m from India and I want to start learning video editing seriously. My long-term dream is to work in the film industry as an editor (movies). I’m starting from zero and I want a clear roadmap for India specifically: • Which software should I learn first if my goal is films? • What skills should I focus on in the first 3–6 months? • What kind of portfolio should I build (short films, reels, YouTube, etc.)? • How do people in India usually enter post-production (internships, assistant editor roles, freelance)? • Any advice on networking / where to find real opportunities in India?

tl;dr colonisation is in a bad state of affairs and what can be done about it

11h ago

First a disclaimer: having played for the last month as Mexico and Spain, the game in 1.12 is genuinely fun. I feel it has been very fun since Charters of Commerce. Even with the newest agriculture methods focused in exploited regions, colonisation still is severely underthought of, waiting for its actual mechanics to arrive. **The migration system doesn't have a suitable mechanic for colonisation** **in populous regions** The core problem is migration attraction. Colonial Resettlement gives +50% migration attraction to unincorporated states - great for empty land, useless for anywhere with existing population. Try getting Japanese or Russians around Manchuria. In a populous state, th...

🎬 CineMAA India remembers Mohana Cabral, the Goan star who slipped from Hindi cinema into world life, and never lost her stage-born courage. Mohana Cabral (Born as Mona Blasia Cabral, also known as Miss Mohana) 3 February 1929 – 11 September 1990 Actor, Singer, Producer, Dancer Mohana Cabral belongs to that rare category Hindi cinema keeps producing and then promptly forgetting: the performer who was never meant to stay “supporting.” Photogenic, poised, and quietly fearless, she moved through post Independence Bombay with the ease of someone who understood both spotlight and survival. Born in Socorro, Goa (then Portuguese India), she became a bridge between worlds. In Hindi films...

A post about a man's case in Aus, is it similar in India as well?

11h ago

https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/s/4i7Rc7tIKv The Reddit post is a first-person account by a man in New South Wales, Australia, who claims he was convicted and jailed for sexual intercourse without consent after a Tinder hookup he says was consensual. He argues that under NSW’s “affirmative/positive consent” laws, the court ruled against him because he did not explicitly seek verbal consent throughout the sexual encounter, even though there was no verbal refusal, force, or intoxication. He describes the arrest, trial, prison sentence, and long-term personal and professional consequences, and concludes by warning men to be extremely cautious, advising explicit verbal consent during ...

What is STT? A Simple Explanation of Securities Transaction Tax in India

11h ago

**What is STT? A Simple Explanation of Securities Transaction Tax in India** If you have ever checked your contract note after buying or selling shares, you have probably seen a small charge called STT. It usually looks insignificant, so many investors ignore it. But over time, especially if you trade actively, STT can add up. Understanding what it is and where it applies helps you get a clearer picture of your actual trading costs. Securities Transaction Tax, or STT, has been part of the Indian stock market since 2004. Anyone investing or trading on NSE or BSE ends up paying it in some form. Think of this post as a simple breakdown of what STT is, why it exists, and where it applies. **W...

Multicouple or not?

11h ago

So I've came across most of the reddit posts on Wattpad india and now I'm actually getting a lil bit insecure. About how if a story is too simple then they says what's this? If it have plots, twists, many characters, backstories then they says ekta kapoor serial. Now I'm literally torn. Because I've been working on my book since Jul 2025 and I haven't published it yet, still working on edits and arranging chapters. Let's come to the point. So I've been writing a book which is based on college romance, and yes college romance means multi couples, ML's bestfriend, friend, FL's sister, bestfriend and else else. Total I've four couples - One...

800+ people missing in 15 days. Kindness is important, but safety comes first.

This happened in New Delhi, the capital of India. And before anyone asks why I’m posting this here?? we all know we share open borders. It’s really easy to move people from India to Nepal or Nepal to India (yeti Thulo thau ma police ley bhetna ni garo hunchha 🤷🏽‍♀️) Crimes are happening everywhere in the world right now. I am posting this so none of us fall into something like this because you really never know. You just can’t trust people that easily anymore. When we see a little kid, or a woman or someone who looks harmless asking for help obviously our first instinct is empathy. We are human. I get that. But please don’t fall for this now. The world is not the sam...

In India, crossing railroad tracks on a motorcycle is a high-risk gamble that claims lives every year due to the unique ...

11h ago

**The Dangers of Crossing Tracks** * **The "Gap" Trap:** Many Indian railway crossings have gaps between the road and the rail or deep ruts in the ballast. Narrow motorcycle tires can easily get wedged in the flangeway gap, causing the rider to lose balance or the bike to stall. * **Slippery Rails:** Steel rails are extremely slick, especially during the monsoon. Crossing at an angle can cause the front tire to slide out, leaving the rider pinned under the bike on the tracks. * **High-Speed Trains:** Express trains like the Vande Bharat or Rajdhani travel at speeds up to **130–160 km/h**. They are much quieter than people expect and can cover the distance of a football fie...
