Latest Community Discussions About India Post ShipmentRefuting Misinformation About Savarkar8m ago--- # What Was His Contribution to the Freedom Struggle? Vinayak Damodar Savarkar’s contribution to the Indian independence movement spanned over six decades, evolving from armed revolutionary activism and intellectual leadership to strategic militarization and social reform. His work was characterized by an uncompromising demand for absolute political independence and the geographical integrity of India. Savarkar was a pioneer of organized secret societies in India. In 1899, he founded the Rashtrabhakta Samuha, which evolved into Mitra Mela (1900) and finally Abhinav Bharat (1904), the first modern, organized secret society of young revolutionaries in India aimed at overthrowing Britis... Is There a Friendship Epidemic or Are We All Just Bad at Texting?9m agoHey r/socialparis, I’ve been scrolling here and I see so many friendship posts. It honestly makes me wonder — is there a friendship epidemic going on? If there is, it says a lot about how lonely our generation might be. Kind of scary. So I guess I’m just adding myself to the list of scary statistics. I’m 28M from India, living in Paris for 5 years now. I work in mobility and tech. My weekdays are mostly commuting and working, weekends are photography, trying restaurants, or just walking around the city. I speak French, I have good friends, but somehow Paris still hasn’t fully felt like home. Maybe it’s because I live in Ivry, so not quite Paris-Paris. Maybe I just haven’t f... Sunidhi Chauhan's concert experience19m agoLet's make things interesting in this sub. Seems barely alive lol. Concert : Sunidhi's I am home India Tour Venue : Phoenix Citadel Time : 7 pm **Curiosity phase** So I was curious about Sunidhi's concert. I'd heard about her performance at iit kgp, and people absolutely loved her there. I scrolled on reddit for her concert reviews. What I found was - almost everyone who attended hers, loved it and was praising it. **Booking the tickets** So I decide to book it. Went for the platinum one(silver, gold, platinum, fanpit - ticket prices in increasing order accordingly). Realised that last moment booking is bit costlier, luckily found someone on this sub itself ... My first non-fiction of 2026, May You be the Mother of a Hundred Sons by Elizabeth Bumiller.40m agoI bought this second hand book from the Delhi's Sunday book market for 50 rupees, because I found the title of book quite interesting. Now, I have read it and I really recommend everyone to read it. Elisabeth Bumiller, a journalist for The Washington Post, came to India in the 1980s and over the years, travelled to all parts of the country, examining the paradoxes, problems, triumphs and realities of the lives of India's women: from village women of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Kerala to prominent parliamentarians, politicians, movie-stars, intellectuals, police officers, meeting and interviewing them. She notes that 'a woman's role in Indian society is full of con... May You be the Mother of a Hundred Sons by Elizabeth Bumiller, my first non-fiction of 2026. And here is my review.44m agoI really recommend everyone to read it. Michaela have a love interest in the upcoming seasons1h agoI’m so excited for Michaelas development in the upcoming seasons idk I’ve seen predictions and theories about flashbacks and her being in India but I’d love for her to have a love interest idk if its gonna be a man or woman since I read that she’s figuring herself out (Saw this fantasy post by someone on Twitter not me wasn’t sure weather to hide username) My Experience Today At The Airport1h agoI’m just posting this to give a bit of context for people who want more info on what is going on. Overall I found that the Emirates systems were lagging far behind everything else. We had a flight leaving London today at 13:30. we were 99% sure it was cancelled but the flight remained scheduled on the Emirates site so we decided to go. When we got to the airport the entire Emirates check in desks were locked down and a few staff standing in front to respond to questions (flight still displayed as scheduled at this point). The staff said that all flights are cancelled until you are informed otherwise and they were not offering any rerouting options. Ironically the Heathrow website wa... Prospective about retiring early1h agoHello, I’ve been working in the corporate world for 14 years and I’m feeling quite burnt out. Fortunately, I’ve saved enough money to be considered eligible for FIRE (based on 33X calculations from previous posts in this channel). I have several fears holding me back from taking steps to return to India and chill. Thoughts that worry me the most are: what if the world order is disrupted due to geopolitical events like the situation in the Middle East this week, or extraordinary technological revelations like AI that suddenly change market dynamics and reduce my savings to nothing? I know I might be overthinking, but I can’t seem to stop thinking about it. On the other hand, I’m... Which is better in 2026: Ireland or Australia for Business Analytics (PR + ROI)?1h agomy\_qualifications: BBA in Business Analytics (8.35 GPA), graduating 2025 Zero work experience Planning for July/August 2026 intake Hi everyone, I’m trying to decide between Ireland (UCD/TCD) and Australia for a Master’s in Business Analytics. My priorities: • ROI • Internship opportunities • Job market reality • Post-study work visa • PR pathway difficulty Since I don’t have work experience, I’m concerned about employability after graduation. Which country would you choose in 2026 and why? Is it smarter to gain 1–2 years of experience in India first? Looking for honest, practical advice. They said that the new Ayatollah of Iran, Ayatollah Arafe, shared a video of weapon movement against Israel and issued a strong warning against “Israel.” See the attached video, it is obviously a very poor-quality AI-generated video of an ICBM being transported. That too, not even a convincing AI-generated video. Even my 10-year-old niece told me it does not look normal. On top of that, the Twitter handle that posted this was the most scammy-looking account ever (now deleted). It clearly said the account was based in “India. Why is a popular news channel like Asianet News believing such fake news and reporting it... Why I'm getting failed? What's wrong with my resume?1h agoIndian BBA (Business Analytics) + 0 Experience → Choosing MSc in Business Analytics: UCD vs TCD (Ireland) vs Australia...1h agoHi everyone, I’m from India and I’ll complete BBA in Business Analytics in 2025 with an 8.35 GPA. I currently have zero work experience, and I’m planning to pursue a Master’s in Business Analytics abroad. I’m trying to decide between: • Ireland – mainly University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin • Australia – considering universities with strong analytics reputation I want to make the most informed decision possible, especially because this is a big financial investment. ⸻ My main priorities: ✅ Value for money (tuition + living costs vs expected salary) ✅ Internships & industry exposure (important since I have no experience) ✅ Job prospec... Loneliness2h agoWhen I was little, I used to believe loneliness only existed in sad movies. I had a tiny blanket I carried everywhere and I thought as long as I hugged it, I would never feel alone. I had imaginary friends, endless stories in my head, and a world that felt warm and full. I grew up thinking life would always feel that way. I’m in my late 20s, from India, and currently doing residency in Pediatrics. My days are full of noise, crying babies, worried parents, and long hospital shifts. I spend hours caring for children, comforting families, and trying to make small lives better. It’s meaningful work and I’m grateful for it. But once my shift ends and I return to my room, everything ... Hiring or Looking? Anything even slightly critical of India gets downvoted...3h ago50% of the views on a post in r/Pakistan coming from India is wild. It’s funny how some people seem so invested in us, while most of us just want to scroll in peace. I mute Indian subs whenever they pop up because I’m not interested in that space.
