So my relatives are coming to India from Australia and i have asked them to bring a laptop( as it was cheaper there) And I am kinda worried about the custom duty( as it would void the point of bringing it from there) I saw posts regarding this issue but most of them had more than one laptop and they were conflicting some said you can bring box in check in and laptop in handbag while some said I have brought 3 laptops( boxed) without customs questioning them. So please tell me how can they avoid customs and is it okay to bring it with box in handbag in boxed condition ( without opening) as they have only one laptop. Please help .
